Terms of Service

Last updated September 22, 2026

These terms cover your use of Fireball Designer, built by Fireball Enterprise. By using the app, you agree to them.

The app

Fireball Designer is a design studio for macOS: 3D modeling, CAM, vector, PCB, mesh, documents, raster and video work on projects stored on your own Mac. Some capability depends on the plan your Fireball account holds.

Eligibility

You need to be 13 or older, and able to enter into these terms.

Your account

Some features need a Fireball account, which is shared across Fireball products. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself.

Your designs and files

On a personal account, what you make is yours. You keep every right you have in the projects, drawings, toolpaths, documents and exports you create with Fireball Designer. We claim no ownership of them and no licence to them, and they stay yours if you cancel or stop paying.

On an organization account, the company owns what is made in it. If you are signed in to an organization account, that organization owns the work made in it and its owner can export or delete it, including yours. Which account you are signed in to decides this, not the file. The full explanation is at fireballenterprise.com/legal/data-ownership.

Your projects are ordinary files on your Mac. We don't hold a copy unless you upload one, so keeping backups is up to you. We're not responsible for files lost to a disk failure, a mistake, or a bug.

If you upload a project to your account's storage, you give us only the permission needed to store it and show it back to you on your own devices.

Verify before you cut

Fireball Designer produces toolpaths, G-code, flat patterns and build documents for real machines that cut, bend and move. Software can be wrong, a post processor can be wrong, and a machine can be set up differently from what a file assumes.

You are responsible for checking the output before you run it: reviewing the toolpath, the material and the setup, doing a dry run where that's sensible, and following the safety rules for your own machine. Nothing the app produces is a substitute for your judgement, and Fireball Enterprise isn't liable for damage to material or machines, or for injury, arising from output you chose to run.

AI features

Fireball Sidecar and any AI assistant you connect over MCP can make real changes to an open project. Those changes are undoable and shown to you, but AI output can be wrong or unsuitable, and you're responsible for reviewing what it produced before relying on it โ€” and especially before cutting anything. Which AI service you connect over MCP is your choice, and your use of it is between you and that provider.

Acceptable use

Don't use Fireball Designer to break the law or infringe anyone's rights, don't try to reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, don't work around plan limits or licensing, and don't attempt to disrupt the service for anyone else.

Plans

Some workspaces and services depend on your plan. Plans are managed on your Fireball account at fireballenterprise.com, and what each includes is described there.

The Mac App Store

If you got Fireball Designer from the Mac App Store, these terms are between you and Fireball Enterprise only โ€” Apple is not a party to them. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app, and isn't responsible for the app, its content, or any claim relating to it, including product liability, any failure to meet a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is," without guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, Fireball Enterprise isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it.

Ending your access

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time; your files stay yours. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
